Mumbai: Celebrations of the Italian National Day (Festa della Repubblica) in India kickstarted on 31st May at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Mumbai. The evening commenced with the national anthems of India and Italy, and an enchanting speech by Consul General of Italy in Mumbai, Alessandro De Masi, who acknowledged and thanked Uni-Italia’s contribution and effort to bring India and Italy closer.  Attended by 500+ prestigious guests from various fields of Cinema, Music, Trade and Commerce, and Design, the evening was filled with music, delicious Italian fare and some dancing to close the night.

Bengaluru: On June 2nd, the Consulate General of Italy in Bangaluru hosted a grand celebration to mark Italian National Day. After a warm welcome from the Consulate, Alfonso Tagliaferri, Consul General of Italy in Bengaluru, delivered a compelling welcome address. In his speech, he took the opportunity to introduce representatives from Uni-Italia, the Italian Trade Agency, and the Indo-Italian Chamber present at the event. He elaborated on the pivotal role of Uni-Italia in guiding Indian students towards higher education opportunities in Italy, underlining the strong support system in place for aspiring scholars. One of the key highlights of Dr. Tagliaferri's address was Italy’s readiness to embrace an increased inflow of Indians, facilitated by the new mobility agreement between Italy and India. He proudly noted the thriving community of over 200,000 Indians in Italy and expressed enthusiasm for welcoming more.  The celebration concluded with a sumptuous Italian lunch, complemented by Indian specialties, offering a delightful culinary experience that reflected the blend of both cultures.

New Delhi: On 3rd June, the Embassy of Italy hosted the celebration of the Italian National Day, in the residential premises of Ambassador Vincenzo De Luca. The event was attended by the Diplomatic team from across India including the Consular Generals from Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata. As the Chief Guest, Hon.ble Minister Ms Meenakshi Lekhi was invited where she spoke about the bilateral relations fostered between India and Italy and thanked Ambassador De Luca for his service to strengthening the ties between the countries. Uni Italia also had the chance to be part of this beautiful celebration and foster more communications on educational and it's role here in India in strengthening Study in Italy.
