On November 14, VFS inaugurated a dedicated Visa Application Center exclusively for Italy in Bengaluru. The inauguration ceremony was graced by the Consul General of Italy, Dr. Alfonso Tagliaferri, alongside representatives from the Italian Consulate. Among the esteemed invitees  Ms. Dharshini Murali, Student Counsellor at Uni-Italia Bengaluru, had the opportunity to participate in the inauguration.

The initiative comes in response to the growing popularity of Italy as a travel destination among Indian citizens. Dr. Tagliaferri emphasized that this dedicated center would cater to the increasing demand and ensure a streamlined, efficient visa process. "With the rising interest in Italy, this center not only meets a critical need but also strengthens ties between our two nations.”
