SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS

  • MAECI Programme

The MAECI scholarships are offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) in favour of foreign citizens and Italian citizens living abroad, in order to foster international cooperation in cultural, scientific and technological fields, to promote Italian language and culture and to support Italy’s economic system in the global context.

Elegible Courses:

  • Master Degree Courses (offered by University & AFAM Institutions)
  • PhD Programmes
  • Research Project under Academic supervision
  • Italian Language Courses (3 months only)

The winner of a MAECI scholarship will benefit from a tuition fee waiver and is eligible to receive a monthly amount of € 900, paid periodically every two or every three months to their personal Italian bank account.

  • IYT Programme

By participating in the IYT (Invest Your Talent in Italy) programme, students have the opportunity to develop academic and technical competencies through a range of MASTER DEGREE COURSES and MASTER PROGRAMMES (one-year postgraduate courses) TAUGHT IN ENGLISH at prestigious Italian Universities in the field of:

  • Engineering
  • Advanced Technologies
  • Economics & Management
  • Architecture & Design

Furthermore, students will be offered an ON-THE-JOB TRAINING experience at leading Italian companies which will help them boost their practical skills alongside their academic pursuits. 

The winner of an IYT scholarship will benefit from a tuition fee waiver and a total grant of € 9000 (equivalent to € 1000 per month for a period of 9 months), renewable in case of a 2 year Master Degree programme.

  • DSU

DSU (Diritto allo Studio Universitario) is a financial aid and scholarships system provided by the Italian government and regional authorities to support students with financial needs applying for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes at Italian universities.
These scholarships are not offered to PhD students.

DSU grants include:

  • Tuition waiver or reduction based on family income
  • Free accommodation
  • Free or Discounted Meals
  • Monthly payments to cover extra expenses (sporting activities, books, etc.)

The approximate amount is € 7.000 per year and it varies according to the Region in which the University of destination is located in.
